Integrating Computer Technology into the Classroom

Title:                     Punctuation

Learner Level:     GED

Pre-Instruction:    Sentence structure:  complete sentences, sentence fragments, parts of speech.

Duration:              1 ½ hours (presentation and group practice); individual practice will vary.

Materials: 

• SmartBoard

• laptop

• LCD projector

• PowerPoint program.

Objectives: 

After observations and activities concerning common punctuation, the students will be able to place punctuation in sentences with an 85% accuracy.      

Procedure: 

• PowerPoint presentation  - PowerPoint Presentation Material

• group practice

• individual computer practice.

Evaluation:  20 question quiz.
