Materials:           Internet Sites, Microsoft Word, Lance Armstrong’s book.

Objectives:

• To practice navigating the Internet to find out about a specific topic

• Improve  student’s comprehension/writing skills.

Procedure:

Using search engines (google.com, yahoo, alltheweb.com) answer the following questions:

1. Who is Lance Armstrong?

2. What health issues did he experience in the past? Give details.

3. Who is his father? Please give as many details you can.

4. How many times he has won the Tour of France?

5. Detail his sponsor’s reaction after they learned he was sick

6. Who sponsored Lance Armstrong during his critical situation?

7. Lance Armstrong’s Timeline

8. Write a two (2) pages document using Microsoft Word

9. Please include the URL of the Websites you visited

Evaluation:   An oral presentation of your research to the class.
