Integrating Computer Technology into the Classroom Final Activity

 

Title:                          Monthly Calendar       

  

Learner Level:          ABE/GEC

 

Pre-Instruction: 

Monthly calendar to be handed out on a monthly basis.  Student(s) will select a “weekly” topic and write a short informative statement regarding the topic and present it to the class.               

                       

Duration:                    The presentation should be 10-15 minutes depending on the specific topic.   

           

Materials: 

Student(s) will utilize the monthly handout and will find “other” resources to assist in their presentation.  Other resources would be current newspaper articles, news, internet sites, etc.

Objectives: 

To learn about various topics that may be interesting to the student.  This will allow a diverse group to select their own interests and present information to the classroom setting.

Procedure: 

This process will be done at the end of each week allowing student ample time to prepare and present.    

 

Evaluation:

I will be evaluate students progress on their interest, involvement, materials used to obtain the data, integration of data introduced to the class, their ability and knowledge to openly discuss their topic.
