  • The students will be given a handout of the parts of a computer and terms with definitions.  They will then be told to type in the following internet address:  Computer Basics http://www.quia.com/jg/817572.html. The site has games that will reinforce their use and understanding of computer terminology.  There are four games: Matching, concentration, flashcards and word search.  The students will work on these games.  Most students will do each type of game 3 times before moving on to another.  Each type of game reinforces computer basic terminology.  When students are finished with the games they will take a test of basic computer part knowledge at http://www.quia.com/rr/33090.html

Each class session should take 2 to 3 hours.

Prior to taking the class the students will answer a survey about their computer knowledge.  At the end of the session the students will take website test.
