Title:  Local History Project

Learner Level:     Intermediate

Pre-Instruction:   Discussions about local historical markers in the Gallia County.

Duration:   2 weeks at 45 minutes sessions       

Materials:  Internet, Microsoft Word, digital software and picture software (Dell image expert software)

Objectives: Compose a Historical Booklet to display in the classroom.

Procedure:  

Students will research local history on the internet, take turns using a digital camera to take pictures of the historical markers, and using Microsoft Word to write a brief description of the local historical markers. The students will compile a Historical Booklet to display in the classroom.

Evaluation:          

A completed historical booklet with descriptions and pictures.
