Text Editing Practice
This
document will give you practice in editing text in Word.
Let's
start with a few details:
1) Remember
word-wrap allows you to type without looking.
The computer will wrap the words to the
next line as you see here.
2) Press
enter to add a new line.
3) You can use your mouse or arrows on the text editing section of your keyboard to change the location of the I beam or pointer
4)
The DELETE key erases characters to the RIGHT of the I beam .The BACKSPACE key
erases characters to the LEFT of the
I beam.
5)
Highlight or select text

I. Introduction
A. Remove
extra spaces from the following sentences by placing the cursor next to the
letters
and using the delete or backspace key.

Place the cursor in front of the noun and
type away!

E. Change the font of the following sentence to
ARIAL.

Fonts can be changed easily.

Sans MS.

F. Change
the size of the font in the following sentence to 72 pts (points).

Underlining and italics works the
same way.
Change the following sentence to italics.

Italics highlights special text.
Change the following sentence so that it
is underlined.

Underlining is good for headings.

unless you give it instuctions.

applications. Buy doftware
that fits your needs.

to have your instructor review your work.
If you want to save your work, make sure you use Save As and change the name of the document.
