Methods for incorporating computer literacy

Use word processing programs to "write" original sentences, paragraphs, and stories. Your students can also compose e-mail correspondence. Use the Internet to research subjects for writing assignments or discovering community, family, and employment resources. Use interactive games to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Create original and useful products.

Building Keyboarding Skills

Developing keyboarding skills takes time and students can lose interest quickly if you insist they type well before they can move on. You can build keyboarding skills through exercises and keyboarding software.
Have your students browse the Internet, this requires minimal typing.
Here is a link to a site you can use to practice typing.
