What is computer literacy?
A computer literate person possesses the basic skills required to operate
a computer to accomplish a given task or to learn additional skills quickly
and easily to accomplish that task. What
constitutes “basic
skills?"
- Keyboarding skills
- Mouse skills (point,
click, drag)
- Knowledge of operating systems
- Knowledge of directories (files and folders)
- Ability to navigate the Internet
- Word processing skills (insert, delete, copy, paste)
