Description
Temple Grandin is an animal scientist and author who has autism. She thinks, feels and experiences the world in ways that are incomprehensible to the rest of us. In this book, Grandin delivers a report from the country of autism. With her dual perspective of scientist and autistic person, she writes about how that country is experienced by its inhabitants and how she managed to breach its boundaries to function in the outside world. This book is the basis for the HBO movie"Temple Grandin."

Action steps include:
1. Read the book.
2. Write a reaction paper reflecting the book and how it relates to your teaching experience.
3. Return the book with your reaction paper and evaluation form to the Northeast ABLE Resource Center. The Resource Center will send you a certificate of completion.
