| Description This alternative delivery training is appropriate for all teachers, but particularly useful to those teaching ESOL and EL/Civics. Little Bee is the story of two women whose lives are changed forever on a beach in Nigeria. The book intertwines the stories of these two women, and through their stories, gives fascinating perspective on what it is like to be a refugee in a culture that often doesn't make sense. Once you have signed up for this PD opportunity, NERC will send you the book. This activity involves the following steps: 1. Read the book and write a reaction paper focusing on how the material relates to your teaching experience or program. 2. Return the book, your reaction paper and evaluation form to the Northeast ABLE Resource Center. A Certificate of Completion will be sent to you. |
