Description This alternative delivery training is appropriate for all teachers, but especially for those teaching ESOL and EL/Civics. All materials are provided by the Northeast ABLE Resource Center. Online communication and learning tools are often text-based experiences. Teaching Writing Online: How & Why details how to migrate the writing class to the textual environments of Learning Management Systems, Email, LISTSERVs, Message Boards and other tools that emphasize the writing process. The activity involves the following steps: 1. Reading the book. 2. After reading the book, writing a reaction paper focusing on how your writing class can be migrated to be taught online. 3. Returning the book with your reaction paper to the Northeast ABLE Resource Center along with the evaluation form ($30,) and a Certificate of Completion will be sent to you.
