First Person presents the biography of Rasa Parks along with an interactive comprehension quiz, fantastic black and white and color photographs and a site that is easy to navigate and nicely organized. It contains a biography divided into four sections: Personal, Activism, Quotables, and Did You Know. This site also contains links to other web sites with information about Rosa Parks.

Comments:
Because of the layout here and the easy-to-read style this site would work with new, emerging and developing readers. Extension activities could include learners writing a journal of their reflections on Civil Rights or on the courage of Rosa Parks. Another activity could include learners composing a play that showcases the bus boycott and Rosa's stance.
