The Weary Blues; The Negro Speaks of Rivers; I, Too, Sing America, Let American be American Again; Poet to Bigot; and Dream Variations. Comments: |
| Extension activities could include learners writing about their reflections of a poem or writing their own poem about a topic that means a lot to them. Other learns may choose to learn more about Langston Hughes and create a multimedia presentation featuring some of his poetry. A great comprehension and visualizing activity would be for learners to illustrate a poem using clip art or through drawing. |
