WRITING and READING activities - This is a very handy web site to help learners with writing sentences, paragraphs and essays. It is nicely organized, easy to navigate, and contains easy-to-read explanations and examples to follow which illustrate various concepts. Click on Tips-O-Matic to get to the writing help. Sentences and paragraphs are wonderful for emerging writers and other learners who need a basic review. The Essay section is perfect for those working on the writing part of the GED test. The various types of essays are covered in an easy-to-read style. This would also work well for pre-GED students who are reviewing sentence structure and beginning to write the GED essay. READING Activities - Click on Feature Topic or More Topics and then on a story. Each story has three choices: Words, Sentences and Paragraphs. Each choice features real audio and text. Learners have a chance to listen to the audio while reading the text. Other interactive activities are also included.

This is a fantastic site for new, emerging and developing readers as well as for ESL learners. The text with audio feature makes this site very versatile and will soon become an adult learner favorite.
