This is a great site for learners who are learning how to write paragraphs and five paragraph essays. This site includes: Getting Started; How to Write the Essay; Editing, Revising, and Evaluating; Writing Prompts for Your Use; and Tips and Techniques for Effective Essays. Getting started includes basic advice plus links to graphic organizers, venn diagrams, concept mapping and many other visual helps. How to Write the Essay includes general writing tips, structure of the five paragraph essay, how to write a thesis, step-by-step suggestions and much more. Editing and Revising includes a proofreading guide, run-on sentences-what they are and how to repair them, five editing principles and editing paragraphs. Writing Prompts include expository, narrative and persuasive helps.

ABE, Pre-GED and GED learners will find a lot of practical writing helps at this site. ABE learners will find the graphic organizers very helpful in planning and brainstorming writing topics. Classes can peer edit paragraphs and essays using the Editing, Revising and Evaluating links. Instructors will love this site and point learners to it again and again for writing practice. It is also suitable for intermediate and advanced ESL learners.
