Description:
Visitors have the opportunity to build a tall grass or a short grass North American prairie. Builders must choose plants, animals, birds, reptiles, insects, and other elements to create a successful living prairie. A field guide is also a part of this site which enables prairie builders to look up species to find out if they are good choices for the North American prairie. This site is very interactive and provides a lot of quality information, photographs, and activities. Visitors will learn about ecology, climate, endangered species, habitats and much more.

Comments:
Build a Prairie would be a great activity for small groups. Learners could collaborate and research together to find out what species and plants would make a successful living prairie.
