Determine the reading purpose Discover the advantages and disadvantages of rent-to-own services.
Select reading strategies appropriate to the purpose The teacher pre-teaches several vocabulary words using the Subjective Approach to Vocabulary method and students synthesize information with an I-Chart.

Students learn new vocabulary, practice reading for information and drawing conclusions based on their comparisons.
