Component of Performance How activity addresses component
Determine the purpose for communicating Students produce a brochure of child safety tips to be distributed to other ABLE classes and anyone who would like a copy.
Organize and present information to serve the purpose, context, and audience Students will have to make sure the brochure is well organized and easy to understand so a variety of people will be able to use it.
Pay attention to conventions of English language usage, including grammar, spelling, and sentence structure, to minimize barriers to readers' comprehension Since the brochure will be distributed outside of class, the students must make sure there are no errors in the conventions of English.
Seek feedback and revise to enhance the effectiveness of the communication This brochure will go through several drafts of peer editing and teacher editing before it is produced and distributed.
