Purposeful, Transparent, Contextual, Building Expertise

Purposeful and Transparent This lesson specifically teaches several reading strategies that students can use when reading for information. Contextual Application of skills will be strengthened as students transfer their learning from this lesson to text where gaining information is necessary for their understanding. Building Expertise Students become aware of the reading process, use their previous experiences, and construct new understanding of best ways for them to take out information from the text.
