Students should be able to examine both sides of an issue in their lives (rent-to-own options) and make decisions based on their knowledge and not just unsubstantiated desires.

Contextual
Students may have used rent-to-own services in the past, but are gaining new understanding of these businesses in order to choose wisely when purchasing items for their homes.

Students learn new vocabulary, practice reading for information and drawing conclusions based on their comparisons.
