Teaching Ideas:
Teachers may want to read this aloud but will have to gently invite discussion since it is powerful. Learners may want to reflect in writing. The class may then want to discuss why the author wrote the book so long after the war, discuss current Japanese and American relations, and discuss the effects of war fifty years later. www.nvcom.co.ip/peacepark/
