Summary: |
Repeating the success of Math Curse, the author and illustrator describe the "poetry of science" through parodies of famous poems. A CD is included. |
Teaching Ideas: |
The poems could be used to introduce science topics, e.g. the scientific method, solar system, water cycle, food pyramid and nutrition, etc. The book (and the disk) is wonderful for reading aloud. Since the original poems are given in the back matter, readers may want to try their hand at a parody of a poem or nursery rhyme on some other scientific subject that is not covered. |
