Summary:
A gripping story told in real time (hence the title)from the viewpoints of several characters involved in the bombing of an Israeli bus.

Teaching Ideas:
Do different points of view give the reader a better understanding of diverging opinions on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict? Readers could imitate the style of storytelling by rewriting a current newspaper article in a similar manner. Use a strategy such as Discussion Web or Agree? Disagree? Why? to list the arguments for and against the Israeli occupation or for and against the Palestinian terrorist attacks. A more challenging activity for advanced students would be to develop a timeline that would incorporate the real historical events of the fictional characters from the Nazi concentration camps in WW II to the present-day security measures for travel in Israel.
