Summary:
This story describes the flight of a young girl from North to South Korea just before the outbreak of the Korean War. The story is told simply with superb illustrations.

Teaching Ideas:
Students could compare the journeys with people on the Underground Railroad using a Venn diagram. Also students could discuss the problems that divided countries have experienced such as Germany, Vietnam, and the former Yugoslavia. Map work could be done with all of the above.
